A Magnetic loop detector is used to detect motor vehicles. When the motor vehicle drives over the detectors wire loop the detectors senses the metal and then a relay is activated.
This relay is connected to the motor controller card to automatically open the gate or door. Noble sells high and medium sensitivity detectors with 1 or 2 channel relay outputs.
The fully automatic set-up features represent a significant improvement over manual setting of frequency and sensitivity parameters which can often be a challenge, with failure to achieve this correctly causing detectors to ‘chatter’ or otherwise fail to operate.
